Strategic Planning and Programme Management Office

The Strategic Planning and Programme Management Office (PMO) is an internal-facing function within CfSD.

It's primary purpose is to:

  • deliver programme management governance,
  • standardise programme/project management best practice across CfSD, and
  • facilitate teams to achieve their strategic priorities.

Our services

The Services offered by the CfSD Strategic Planning and PMO are aligned to 6 core capabilities shown in the diagram below.

These include:

  • the management of strategic and corporate objectives,
  • developing strategic CfSD workplans,
  • management of formal governance reporting,
  • central management of national clinical pathways, and
  • tracking benefits realisation.

Additionally the Strategic Planning and PMO team work collaboratively with NHS Golden Jubilee colleagues within the Transformation, Strategy, Planning and Performance directorate contributing and supporting strategic plans, reporting into Scottish Government and annual delivery workplans.

Working across programmes

We work in partnership with all our national programmes of work, in supporting them around the delivery and implementation of national improvement, service redesign and transformation across NHS Scotland.
