National Audits and Research
The Trauma and Orthopaedics team supports national audits to improve data and reporting and drive improvement:
- Scottish National Audit Programme (SNAP) Governance Process developed and implemented to monitor outcomes and outliers through National Audits.
- Development of research in both the Scottish Arthroplasty Project (SAP) and Scottish Hip Fracture Audit (SHFA) to drive Standards of Care and improve clinical outcomes.
- Annual SHFA/SAP publication of reports.
- Annual Research meeting to showcase SAP and SHFA research.
- Engagement with the University of Strathclyde to model Demand Capacity Activity Queue (DCAQ) of Orthopaedic services.
- Worldwide meetings with Hip Fracture teams plus involvement with Fragility Fracture Network (FFN).
