National Elective Coordination Unit
The National Elective Coordination Unit (NECU) was established by the Scottish Government to support national waiting times recovery.
The National Elective Coordination Unit supports local NHS Boards to address the current planned care waiting list backlog by providing:
- a consistent approach to national capacity assessment and allocation, and
- waiting list validation at both a local and national level.
It also delivers the National Diabetes Closed Loop System Onboarding Programme.
